King Jesus and the Feast of Trumpets

Transcript from the sermon King Jesus and the Feast of Trumpets.

So I'm gonna warn you guys today, anybody who's been here multiple times, this should not be a surprise, but Man, what a week it has been.

It has been a crazy week crazier than my microphone right now Check one two three four five seven eight nine.

There's like a digital delay thing going on.

That's okay If that's the worst tech problem we have I know cam.

I'm sorry So this morning we woke up to a low tire pressure on our car.

Anybody who knows my family knows that we have spent an awful lot of time on the road over the last couple of years, but I can tell you one thing.

I should have bought stock and tires like two years ago because one One of the largest line item expenses in my entire budget this year has been tires.

And we're not talking about like I got some good burnouts or like we got into the winter and I was able to like off-road and like really like experience it.

We're talking about like I get like 5,000 miles on a 60,000 mile tire and somehow I end up with a screw this big in the tire.

And lo and behold, it's always the one spot.

You know, it's the one spot that just can't be patched, or it's the one spot that already has been patched.

And so last night, we were online for Rise on Fire Ministries, Yom Teruah conference with Nathan Harmon and some other individuals, PD, those guys.

Today, we are leaving immediately following service and we are driving to our Arlington campus, HFFDFW, and we will be ordaining Brad and Erica Bronze as the new senior pastors of HFFDFW.

And so, very excited about that.

Jake, I'm gonna warn you, I'm already like super like, like I didn't even drink a Red Bull today.

I didn't even finish my coffee.

So you're gonna want to compress the heck out of it 'cause I feel like this is gonna be a yeller.

I'm a yeller sometimes.

So I'm just, you know, the Bible says to confess your sins, and it also says to be a good leader by giving people a heads up.

So I'm just giving you a heads up.

Today is the feast of trumpets.

It is a day of shouting, a day of blowing.

Traditionally speaking, it would be silver trumpets that are there.

I know in the root space of Christianity, we love our shofars, like it's real authentic.

Like it's like urban farmhouse Christianity when you pull out that ram's horn.

Especially if it's not the glossy version, if it's the matte version, then you really have that Joanna Gaines, Ram's horn thing going.

And so, but it's one of the only feasts, says, no man knows the day or the hour.

It's one of the only feasts that you actually have to site the new moon for.

Now in Oklahoma, we have had very little rain with the exception of the last week, but what we did have last night was a lot of clouds.

And so I don't know if you sighted the new moon or not, but if you did, awesome.

If you didn't, then technically we're all doing it wrong, which is okay, 'cause we've all been doing it wrong for centuries anyways.

So God does not demand perfection out of you because you are not perfection.

God himself, Jesus, Yeshua, Hamashiach is perfection.

And so on the first day, which from a Hebrew standpoint we know comes from sighting of the moon.

From the first day of the seventh month, you're to have a feast of blowing, a feast of shouting.

This morning, Peter came up, he practiced his shofar, did a fantastic job, the kids, and Stephen, and Jacob, and Brittany.

You guys qualify as kids too?

Young at heart, okay.

So the kids came up and sang and rejoiced with shouting and praise during worship, wasn't that amazing?

to have them involved with that.

But at the same point of time, we have some people who they're not shouting and they're not moving.

Brent and Tanya are laid up in bed.

They're sick on their arrival back from Israel.

The Yerdaks came down with some sort of sickness overnight.

And so, 'tis the season to be jolly in all things.

even the aches and the pains of the stomach bug.

Says to be jolly, to worship the Lord, to give thanks in all things.

And right now I'm not sure that Brent's enjoying my message.

I'm not sure he's giving thanks from his bed, but we're gonna give thanks that one, they came home safe.

And two, that this is maybe a mandatory relaxation to recoup, because Brent doesn't like to sit still too long in neither Distania.

And so keep them in your prayers.

The Feasts of Trumpets.

It's also foretold, anybody who's been in this community for any period of time, you know there's a lot of emphasis on the foretelling of the second coming of Jesus.

There's a lot of emphasis around this time on not what's happening now around us, but what will happen in the future.

Eschatology, all those types of things.

But the Trumpets in the Bible announced two pretty important things that I wanna kinda focus on today before we get back into more time of worship.

And that is the announcement of war and the announcement to assemble.

So everybody knows, I don't know if everybody knows, I shouldn't make that assumption.

Joshua and the Battle of Jericho, they marched around the city blowing the trumpets.

And then the walls came down.

This was like Sunday School 101.

You were like graduated as soon as you knew Joshua fought the battle of Jericho, a song, "Joshua fought the battle of Jericho.

" A couple, praise God, we haven't lost all of our good things we found in the church.

Some of the greatest songs in the church came from Sunday school.

"Joshua fought the battle of Jericho, and the walls came going down.

" Yes, you can remember things if you put them to song.

You can remember things if you let those melodies go into your brain.

But the trumpets were an announcement for war and an announcement to assemble.

This is important because again, I know we're in this season as roots-based people in Christianity where we're kind of going back to the Word of God, not just my teaching, but going back into the Word of God and saying, "What does the Bible actually say?

Have we actually been taught the Bible or have we been taught a lot of opinions on what the Bible means?

" And sometimes there's not a problem with people sharing commentary.

Some of the greatest things that are out there are commentary from wise men and women on the Bible.

But if the commentary contradicts the word, the word always wins, the commentary doesn't.

Last week we talked about stuff that goes down the drain and down the toilet.

It was the only thing my son at seven years old remembered from my teaching.

He thought it was great.

It's like, did you remember anything from dad's teaching last week?

He goes, yeah, you talked about what goes down the drain and what goes down the toilet.

That was it.

That was it, that's all I got out of the entire thing.

But when we come to the time of war and assembling, what happens if they're supposed to be not just futuristic things, but things now?

Because see, assembly of Roots-based believers, assembly is not something that's often talked about.

In fact, when you look at some of the modern Orthodox Judaism things, it's like, well, what is acceptable on the Sabbath day?

What is an acceptable Sabbath day's journey?

Now what is acceptable for an Orthodox Jew and what is acceptable for a Goi that they paid is two different things.

But we all believe that the entire Bible is for all people who profess that Jesus is their salvation.

And so for us, when we look at coming together on a Sabbath day, on a feast day, assembly is a part of almost every single one of those.

So we like to say we're Torah observant, we're Torah pursuant, we're messianic, we're Hebrew roots.

But one of the key prerequisites of all these things, we like to talk about the key of rest.

Everybody wants the rest.

But almost always it commands you to assemble.

This is huge because you cannot keep the commandments of God by yourself because you were never to do it, you were supposed to war together in assembly.

This is important because it's very, very common for us to talk about church hurt and why the church is wrong and why our pastors are wrong and all those things.

Guess what?

You don't have to go spread gossip about me being wrong.

I have it all recorded on YouTube.

I make mistakes.

It's public.

But we're supposed to walk together, war together in assembly.

This is important because the Torah was given to Zionite to a grouping of people.

Yes, Moses was at the top of the hill, but Moses was the leader called by God to bring it to the assembly of people.

And in that assembly just like this room, they had every race, every creed, every background come together.

And then we know the story of the Exodus.

There was a lot of warring internally in the camp and on the outside.

And the human depravity of our heart.

God gave us these commandments to our forefathers.

He said, "Hey, Isaac, when we go into more, you are to kill all the people in more.

You are to kill all their dogs, all their cattle.

You are to not take any of their gold, not to take any of their silver.

You're not to set up shop in that really, really nice house on the west side of more called Westmore.

You are to level it all.

" Because the depravity of our heart when we assembled with people who didn't have the same God, who didn't have the same moral code, who didn't have the same civil code, The depravity of our heart was to adopt and adapt their customs, their practices.

Well, you can't be holy for I am holy as the Lord says, if you are trying to be holy like the world says you are.

Because the world is a counterfeit to God.

And so then fast forward to Jesus.

And Jesus comes in and rather than saying, Well, those Amalites or those people in Moore or those people in South Oklahoma City, those people from Edmund.

If you ever met those people from Edmund, oh my goodness gracious.

Like rather than saying that, Jesus went and He dined with them.

Jesus went and He met with them.

Yes, even the people from Midwest City, He went and dined with.

He went and ate with.

He assembled with.

He met them where they were at in order to bring them to where they needed to be.

And if you notice in these stories, just like in the Old Testament, when they assembled, there wasn't uniformity.

The only time you would find uniformity in a civilization or in a culture is because there was a dictator, a bad leader, who enforced it.

All the women had to look the same.

All the men had to look the same.

All, this was all from an oppressive kingship, an oppressive culture that said, you all have to look like me and be like me.

And we do that sometimes.

You know, we get in with friends and then we, you know, we start to wear clothes like them.

You start to talk a little bit more like them.

There's influences of relationships that happen.

But in the end, you're supposed to look more like your God than you are to the others around you in assembly.

And if that's your focus, if the focus isn't this, if the focus is this, and all of our focus is this, you have that non-aluminati triangle where we're all going towards God.

We're not going towards each other.

If we're warring to be like each other, rather than warring to be like God in an assembly, we're creating a cult.

We're creating a social gathering.

We're creating something other than a nation and a priesthood.

And ultimately at the end of all wars, all assemblies, all trumpets, it's all about his kingdom, his power, his glory forever and ever.

If it's not, then why are we here?

I'm not here to make you happy with me.

I'm not here to make you like me.

I know that's unpopular.

It would be nice to be liked.

I've spent many years not being liked.

I've spent many years having people say stuff about me that isn't true.

And the only way I've been able to get through those things is warring with who I actually am before God.

Each one of you has to do the same thing.

You have to war against what the world wants you to be or says you are versus what God actually knows you are.

Because talk is cheap, what you do with these matters.

Talk is cheap, what you do with this matters.

And so today, when we talk about war and we talk about assembling, there's some of you right now who war every single day.

You war with pornography, you war with pride, you war with ego, you war with financial issues, you war every single day.

And when you hear the topic of war, you're tired.

I'm tired of warring.

I'm tired of warring.

I'm tired of warring.

I wish it would go away.

I wish it would stop.

I wish it would stop too.

But sooner or later you have to realize just like Gideon was taught in the Bible, you can show up with all your army.

You can show up and say, "Lord, I'm ready to fight.

"Let's do this.

"I'm warring, I'm warring.

" And God might say, "Hey, babe, that's really great.

"You have all these men.

You have all these mighty men.

Awesome.

Awesome.

But I'm gonna take most of them away and I'm gonna tell you to go fight with only a fraction of them, but you're gonna be victorious because I'm gonna go before you.

And so sooner or later, we have to come into a place of assembly and warfare where we understand that we gotta do it in humility.

And this is why last week I wanted to start off with humility.

is because a lot of times we think of warring as in what we can do.

And the scripture is abundantly clear.

You must lower yourself under the mighty hand of God so that God can take over.

You must submit yourself to God so that God can take over.

Until you submit yourself to God and whatever that area is of your life and every one of you have something in this room, myself included.

Until you submit that to God, you are not allowing the power of God to move in war on your behalf in that area.

Which means, like my mom used to say, how many times are you gonna have to keep hitting your head against a brick wall before you realize and get it?

Your greatest weapon of warfare is to lower yourself under the power of God.

It's important to understand that.

Now, I'm a baseball guy.

I've coached baseball for my son for many, many years.

I helped coach softball in Norman.

That was a real experience, a real test on the fruits of the spirit for me.

Man, that was a test.

I'm not even coaching much at all after coaching some female softball at like eight U or 10 U or whatever it was.

It was a real test.

I mean, Bible says to confess your sins.

It was a real test.

I might have sinned.

It's possible I sinned.

I don't really remember.

I'm trying to emotionally trauma drama.

I'm trying to block that out like last week.

Trying to block that out.

But there's walkup songs in baseball.

It's like, "A little good today.

" And like everybody picks this song that's like some sort of like hype song.

You know, like, "Hey, this makes me feel good.

" Well, Jesus has a hype song too.

And it's not Jesus freaked by DC talk.

That's a close second.

It's the trumpets.

It's trumpets.

When you hear trumpets, Jesus is around.

When you hear trumpets, Jesus is around.

In the book of Revelation, we went through that series with Brent, and where it talks about is there's six trumpets that announced Jesus's war on this earth.

Six trumpets announced the war on the earth.

They announced that Jesus is coming, Jesus is cleansing, Jesus is at work, and then the seven trumpet For my Hebrew friends, seven the number of the Lord, at that seventh trumpet, it announces the coming of the kingdom of Jesus.

Now, many have speculated that that seventh trumpet, the kingdom of Jesus will come in the fall feast.

Some have speculated that that will be the feast of trumpets.

Some have speculated the start of the trumpets will be in line with the feast cycle because of the numbers, and then the final trumpet will be at the Feast of Soko.

Again, I don't know the answer.

Honestly, I believe if you're doing your best every single day to get closer to the image of Jesus and how Jesus created you, it's irrelevant what time the Seventh Trumpet will come because you'll already be prepared to meet your master.

If you're trying to learn exactly what day that is, I'd just like to remind you that you're not guaranteed your next breath.

So even if you know that in January 31st in 2032, which is not a date prediction, I am not making a prediction, I am not making a prediction, I am just throwing out a random date.

I told you my errors are all over YouTube, so I'm making sure that I'm putting disclaimers.

But even if you know that that is the date, even if the word of the Lord comes to you and tells you that that's the date, if tomorrow is your last breath on this earth and this physical body, then what good was it for to know the return date of the Lord?

If you live every single day as if the Lord is coming back, then whatever day He comes, you'll be prepared.

You'll be prepared.

But today, your body, your finances, your thoughts, your life, they're all offerings to the Lord.

Why is that important?

Because on the feast, you're to bring an offering.

You know, we talk about the blowing and the shouting, and in the roots of Christianity, you can't talk about ties or offerings because, you know, that's the prosperity gospel, and These hyzen offerings were just food and they were for the Levites and we don't have Levites.

And we, again, we argue over semantics and we argue over everything and we completely miss the precept and the parable.

The precept and the parable of the offering systems is to remind you that you would have nothing in this life, not the shirt, not the tire that keeps blowing out on my 2012 Ford.

I wouldn't have any of it if it wasn't for God, because all of it is God's.

You know, we can be frustrated every week overcoming it in technology, or they took the soundproofing down, and people are like, "Oh, the worship is so loud.

" But guess what?

All of it is God's, we just should be thankful because there's people right now who don't have any of it.

They don't have any of it.

The truth is, is everybody in this room is blessed beyond belief.

You're like, "Well, I'm not.

" I look at these people and they have five cars and they're blessed more than me.

No, the fact that you have any of it means you're blessed.

God has blessed you.

War with your mind on how you think of things.

Everything is an offering to the Lord.

Guys, I want us to stop thinking about just what might happen in the future and start to become a church that's more worried about how we take the precepts and the principles of the Bible and we apply them to make a difference in our life now because sooner or later not only do we have to make a difference in here we actually have to make a difference out there otherwise we have not fulfilled the calling on God to this church to you to anybody.

You weren't put on this earth so that you could somehow say I understand the feast better than anybody.

Oh man there's Baptists don't have an idea there's nothing in the scripture that says that that's what you're supposed to do.

You're supposed to go preach the good news of the gospel to those who don't even know about salvation.

They don't even know why it's important.

They haven't even been able to find the joy, and we're stealing our own joy because we're at war with ourself.

We have to be better because our God is better, our Messiah is better, and we have to step up to the plate to actually walk in the image of Christ, not the image of Chris.

So they were surely becoming a Pentecostal church.

There was actually a clap response.

Mark it down, the Feast of Trumpets, the Holy Spirit fell, and everybody was in one accord with the clapping of hands.

The futuristic thought process of the Feast of Trumpets tells us that Jesus will war with the beast.

And then at the end of that war, he's going to throw him into the lake of fire.

And then the thought of assembly.

Jesus, by waging and winning the war, he's announcing with that trumpet on the Feast of Trumpets.

He's announcing the call for his kingdom to assemble.

Wow.

We war so that we can have assembly with each other.

How opposite is that of many of the lessons we've heard?

We can justify throughout Sabbath gatherings or feast gatherings or we can't go get together with those people because it's a Sabbath day journey or they do this or they do that.

that.

It tells us in the book of Revelation that Jesus is going to war against the Antichrist system and the beast system so that he can assemble us together, which is that important for the king of the universe, Jesus Christ, to come to assemble us together.

And he does this annually in cycles and in rhythms.

Then how important should it be for us to fight to get together?

It should be important to get together.

And a lot of us, we like, we're like, hey look, we want to get together for coffee, but then come times when it comes to Bible studies or it comes time to services or it comes time to whatever.

We're like, oh well this is more important or this is more important or this is more important.

Jesus is coming back to wage the war of all wars.

This will be the WWE Smackdown of all Smackdowns, bigger than the Rock coming back.

He's gonna come down and he's gonna throw it down on Lucifer so that we can assemble for all eternity.

It means it's important.

You weren't meant to be alone.

Why?

Because it's important Matthew, for you to understand that I enjoy seeing you.

We couldn't be more opposite in how we think of things, but your presence is important to me.

And you need to know that.

Just like I need to know that.

Just like Izzy needs to know that.

It's important.

I love it when I see you too.

It doesn't matter where, it doesn't matter when.

It brings joy to my heart just to see you.

You guys need to know that.

You need to know you're important because the world spends a lot of time talking about how unimportant you are, or about how many mess ups you make, or whatever it is.

Jesus wars so you can assemble so that you can see the fruit of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, and you can overcome the issues in your life.

And a lot of us will war so that we can assemble with things that aren't a God.

Trust me, I understand.

I was a young man.

I was pretty decent, pretty decent child.

But somewhere around 17, 18, I lost about 100 pounds in between a year.

Like left school my junior year, lost 100 pounds my senior year.

I came back and everybody thought I was a new kid.

And so I kind of got to this point where it was like, When I was obese, I didn't realize that I had a real innate issue inside my heart where I just needed people to like me.

Because everybody seemed to like me because I was the fat kid.

So I was immediately friend-zoned.

Like immediately friend-zoned, which meant I had a lot of friends.

But all of a sudden I started to get to the point where that moral compass, because all of a sudden I'm not just immediately friend-zoned anymore, where I can say, "Oh, okay, well Why I need to go outside of my moral compass?

" And what I do, I allow some of the other kids to start bringing alcohol into my parents' house.

Nobody's ever done that in here.

I know.

You can keep judging me with your eyes.

It's okay.

But I allowed them to bring alcohol.

Now, I didn't drink the alcohol, but I allowed them to bring the alcohol in.

And when the next morning came, I thought it was really cool because it was late at night, so we hit it all up on the air vents in the basement because the whole thing was like pitch black.

You couldn't see up there.

The problem is as soon as the sun came up, I basically put them like they were a trophy case in the middle of the basement.

And my mom and my stepdad came down and they saw it and it was like, "Eh.

" So we can war to assemble for things that aren't appropriate.

We can war to assemble for relationships that aren't appropriate.

Guess what?

If you're worrying to assemble for relationships and behavior that's inappropriate, that means that you are running away from what God's calling is on your life because if you are going to rebel against God that bad that you need bad relationships that means God wants to do something special inside of you because the devil's fighting twice it's hard to take you from whatever the calling is on God.

You can war to assemble with the wrong people.

It's the counterfeit system.

It's the anti-Christ system.

So today I want to talk to you and close out my message and the worship team don't come.

I did that last week and you're up here for 25 minutes.

See confession of sins, he is faithful and just to forgive you of sins and cleanse you of all unrighteousness.

You should only be up here for 10 minutes, not 25.

I was a really, really bad leadership model.

Number one, we need to repent.

You will not win a single war in your life if you can't first repent.

And I'm not just talking about acknowledging that you have a problem.

I'm talking about repentance as an action.

As an action.

Confess your sin to a person and then do something about it.

Earn the trust, earn back the respect, whatever that is.

It's not just, hey man, I said I'm sorry, like you need to be good.

Like no, it's your responsibility to help.

You can't do it on your own, but to help them through your repentance, overcome the hurt you caused them.

The wages of sin is death, but the gift of Jesus is eternal life when you repent.

By repenting, Jesus doesn't just immediately say like, it never existed.

No, he says, I got you.

And he takes the burden.

Why?

'Cause it's his blood that's on the mercy seat of the archic covenant that covers us for our sin.

It's no longer the blood of bull and goats.

and it doesn't have to happen every year.

We don't crucify Jesus every single year.

Once the atoning blood was enough once.

He's the greatest person you could ever cling to.

Number two, we need to walk in joy.

The joy of the Lord is my strength.

We could all use some of that supernatural Jesus' strength, right?

I'm talking Bible man strength.

If you don't know who Bible man is, go Google it.

You're welcome.

We need joy.

We need joy.

When we come into the assembly, when we go into the war, we need to do so with joy, happiness.

There's so many things out there that want to steal your joy.

But when you come to the house of the Lord, when you gather together with people, when you come to the feast, when you come to the festivals, you should have a joyous heart.

You should be happy.

Today sucked.

This morning was bad.

I'm sitting there saying like, I got the ordination certificates in my satchel and I don't have four tires on my car right now.

I don't even, I have a 30 minute window to get to Dallas.

How is this going to happen?

And yet I'm in your praise dancing because at some point in time the Holy Spirit came upon me and and said, "What are you going to do about it?

You want to get there?

Better start trusting me.

" 'Cause I had great plans.

I had it down.

I looked at Apple Maps.

I looked at Google Maps.

I looked at Waze.

I had all the options.

I had the best thing planned out.

And today the Lord was like, "I'm going to start off your day by making sure you don't do anything you thought you were going to do.

" Praise God.

I find joy in it.

Why?

So I could be mad and stressed with something I have no say so over.

I can't pop a tire out of it, nowhere.

Also, as I read the apostles, I don't see that as one of the spiritual gifts.

When the manifestation of the spirit falls, today I wish it would have fell in a Cooper AT3 tire, 265, 1618, 6518.

But I don't see that in the scripture.

So if it's not in the word of God, you can't have it in the expectation of what God will do.

So walk in joy.

Repent, loosen your burden.

Loosen somebody else's burden.

Walk in joy.

And three, and if you don't get anything else out of this teaching, please ingrain this in your mind.

Jesus over everything.

Jesus over everything.

Because if you do everything right at Yom Teruah, if you figured out the Greek in the Hebrew and you rested the specific amount of moments that you were supposed to rest, You did no laborious work.

Love that word, laborious.

We should use it more often.

You did none.

You figured out the correct calculation of that.

You blew the silver trumpet perfectly.

I don't know what that is, but you did it somehow.

You brought the right offerings to the right place without the temple.

We're talking, you are awesome.

If you did everything right, you still cannot save yourself from the depravity of the sin that you have walked in or will walk in in the future.

There's only one who saves and it is not us.

on the other side of that?

Don't disrespect, don't dishonor the greatest gift that was ever given to mankind, which is salvation, 'cause it wasn't free.

Don't disrespect God by having a faith life that sucks.

Walk in a manner that is pleasing to God the Father.

God the Son and God the Holy Ghost.

That's right, there's power in the Holy Ghost.

The Holy Spirit, the Holy Ruach, whatever you want to call it.

Acts chapter four, Peter and John go before the council.

And as they were speaking to the people, the priests and the captain of the temple and the Sadducees came upon them, greatly annoyed because they were teaching the people and proclaiming Jesus from the resurrection of the dead.

And they arrested them and put them in custody until the next day, for it was already evening.

But many of those who had heard the word believed and the number of men came to about 5,000.

The priests, the captains, the leadership, religion, sometimes will be at odds with you preaching Jesus, but it didn't stop Peter and John, The sons of thunder didn't stop them.

Didn't stop them at all from preaching Jesus.

So in the Feast of Trumpets, I can teach you all about trumpets.

I can teach you all about the offerings.

I want to teach you about Jesus in the Feast of Trumpets.

I can teach you all about the kingdom, but if you don't know the king, then the kingdom doesn't matter.

If you don't know about a king who came with the sword and had the right to use the sword, but chose to lay down the sword and accept death?

If the only king you know is the like Narnia, homeschool 101, let's go play some Narnia.

I'm Casper.

You've got the swords and they're just going to battle on Aslan.

If that's the only king you know is the judgmental king, the judgmental king, then you miss the king who came with the sword and decided to lay it down and say, here I am.

take me.

He's both.

He's both.

This is why Jesus is important.

Last week we talked about Romans 8, you however are not in the flesh but in the spirit.

If in fact the spirit of God dwells in you, anyone who does not have the spirit of Jesus along, does not belong to him, the apostle Paul.

We have to war when we assemble for the feast days and we assemble for the Sabbath, we have to war to have the assembly of all the natures of God's gifts to us.

We're not worrying to go back to Zionite so that we can say the Constitution that was given to Israel, if we just have that it's sufficient.

We're not worrying to do away with all of it so that we can say, well if we just do anything in the name of Jesus, we'll be found in a great place.

The Bible says even the demons know Jesus.

Even the demons know who Jesus is.

So you know who Jesus is good.

But if Jesus comes and lives in you and dwells in you, puts the new heart, puts the new spirit inside of you, that's what we're looking for.

We're not looking for the fact that you know who the King is.

What are you doing about the king?

And when you do something about the king and you submit yourself to his kingdom, then he becomes supreme.

And if you start doing that, it's amazing how a lot of your other problems go away.

If you're busy about the kingdom of God, it's amazing how much the kingdom of the adversary doesn't really play in your life.

And that's coming from a guy who spent nine years working in ministry and eight months working in a different church.

It's amazing if you're auto-kilter, if you're all focused, even if you say you're doing it for the king, if the king's actually doing it and he's raising you into it, it's a lot different if you're doing it and say, "Jesus, look at me, I'm doing it.

" It's different because one is out of your own strength, your own power, your own war, the other is out of God.

We need to be out of the power and in the power of God.

Last week I promised that we would look at one other angle.

And I want to look at this angle before the worship team comes.

First John 4-3.

And every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God, this is the spirit of the Antichrist which you have heard was coming and now is in the world already.

This feast in the talk of the return of the Lord has put a lot of eschatology in time and focus on who is the anti-Christ.

Who is the lawless one?

Who is the person that Jesus is going to wage war against?

Every spirit that does not confess that Jesus, if you don't confess Jesus, it's not from God.

It's a different spirit.

It's a spirit that's not from God.

If you have a spirit that does not confess Jesus, then it's not a spirit from God.

Not Not only does John say it's not from God, but he goes farther and says, "This is the spirit of the Antichrist which you have heard was coming and now is in the world already.

This should wake us up.

This should wake us up.

" Feast of Trumpets is here.

There's going to be a war, but there's already a war.

Why?

Because we're all thinking about this like future time, this conclusion of time.

The war is already here.

The Antichrist is already here.

Because it says there's a lot of antichrists, and they're constantly existing in the world.

If they say that Jesus is not from God, it's the spirit of the antichrists.

That should ask and pose a lot of questions that I'm definitely not doing on YouTube.

If the Spirit does not confess Jesus, it's the spirit of the antichrists.

Korah lovers, listen to me please.

There's an importance on the King throughout the entirety of scripture.

There is an importance on Yeshua throughout the entirety of scripture.

And for years, we come from a background where there's so much emphasis on the writings of God in the Old Testament that we forgot that the entire narrative is a picture in a beautiful kingdom that points back to a king who is alive, who is living, who gave us and spoke the word, who spoke everything you see into existence.

It's important to understand that the words given to Moses at Psi and I must correlate to the words spoken by God in the flesh.

You can't twist one lens without the other.

Jesus over everything.

Because if you don't have the Spirit to confess that Jesus is from God, you have the Spirit of the Antichrist.

Move over Obama.

Move over Donald Trump best thing that Christ ever.

Move over.

You're an Antichrist.

That's what the Scripture says in 1 John 4-3.

If you do not profess that Jesus is from God, you have the Spirit of the Antichrist.

Do you know how many books I could write and what building we could fund if I wrote books on books, on books of every person in the room and how you're the anti-Christ?

We will all be rich.

Physically and spiritually dead.

Don't worry about the counterfeit.

If you study the real deal, if you study the king of the world, if you study him and his power, His Spirit, the counterfeit will become irrelevant to you.

Some of us want to be in those six trumpets.

We want to be in that war.

We want to be in that war.

Guess what?

Maybe you're auditioning for the war of the kingdom of God right now.

And if you're not warring inside of yourself to assemble with like-minded believers, if you're not warring against your porn addiction or your financial gluttony or your physical gluttony or whatever gluttony you're in and whatever lust you have, what makes you think he's going to want you in the book of Revelation when he has some sort of knockdown, drag him out with Lucifer?

You didn't war in your life, why are you going to war for him then?

It's easier for us, I know this is hard and I'm sorry, I did not mean to come in here and beat you up.

But if this is the end, if this is the day that the trumpet blasts and the king comes back, then the best message I can give you is that you can't save yourself, cleanse yourself, repent and be baptized, let Jesus save you, because there's nothing else that matters at that point in time.

There is no regulation of the day that will save you if that's not in you.

If the Spirit of God isn't in you, it doesn't matter anything else.

It's important to understand, because John says in chapter 2, "Who is a liar, but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ, this is the Antichrist, he who denies the Father and the Son.

" You don't get to come before Yahweh on the Feast of Trumpets and just barge into the Holy of Holies and be like, "I'm here God!

I got my white linen on!

I brought the right offerings!

I changed my name to Eliah who'd been David the 13th!

Like I'm here!

You don't get to march in that way!

You don't come into the presence of Lord unless the blood covers the mercy seat!

The blood is not your blood, it is Jesus' blood!

It needs to be the atonement for you!

This is the blood that will cover all of the world on on the seventh trumpet when the kingdom of God is announced and comes back.

You have to war today if you wanna war with him in the future.

The beast system, sin, war is here, it's all here.

Some of us don't want a war.

We want to come to church.

We want to sit in the back of the room.

Sometimes we want to sit in the front of the room.

And we want to be healed of our war, our sin, our lust, and private.

So that we can act like we never had it.

That's cute.

It's really cute.

'Cause you might be able to fool me.

But you're not here auditioning for me.

You're here for Him, and you can't fool Him.

So if you want the power of God to war in the assembly for the like-minded believers, that means that you have to lay down your life so that He can cleanse you and He can raise you back up in His life.

And this isn't to fight over Jesus or the Father, this is to say there's only one way to the Father, and that's through the Son.

Worship team, you can come.

(sighs) Today we're gonna have a couple of worship songs to close.

We're gonna open up the altar.

If you have anything that you've been worrying against that you need to lay down at the feet of Jesus, don't leave here with it.

I promise you the chicken dip will still be there in 10 more minutes.

Don't leave with it.

Don't say, oh I've been warring for so long, I've been warring for so long, I've been warring for so long, Jesus can't save me.

Yeah, Jesus hasn't stepped in to save you because you continue to try to fight the battle on your own.

Sooner or later you gotta come and you gotta submit yourself down and you have to say, Lord I need to be raised up, I need to be healed, I need to be delivered.

There's nothing you have done in your life that he doesn't already know.

So don't leave today dragging your U-Haul of sin and regulation.

Leave today by burning it all on the altar and saying, "I'm not doing it this way anymore.

I need you.

I'm not doing it my way anymore.

I need you.

" I'm not going to go into the feast.

I'm not going to go on the day of Atomic.

"Oh, the next 10 days, that's great.

We'll have Facebook posts.

If I have offended you at all this year, in any way, shape, or form, reach out to me.

Why aren't we getting on our face before the Lord and saying, "Hey, it's not that I know that I might have offended you.

It's that I know I have offended you.

I know I've offended and transgressed your word.

I know I've offended and transgressed your spirit.

At some point in time, I've missteped because the Bible says you did and you will and there's no way around that.

" And so I'm not worried today whether you blow your shofars and you blow your trumpets if you still got that U-Haul of junk.

I'm not worried about whether you shout loud.

You're only shouting with a portion of your heart and a portion of your soul because the other portion is still locked up in sin.

How do you get to trumpets if you can't even get the freedom from Passover?

God says in His Word, He wants to set you free.

Your son died to set you free.

The wages of sin is death, but the gift is eternal life in Christ.

But sooner or later you got to lay down the sin.

You got to cut it off.

You got to lay it.

If God is waging war through six trumpets, and on the seven trumpet He calls for His kingdom to come.

the beast is gone and sin is gone and hurt is gone and all those things that we've experienced in our life, they're all gone but it's all been made new by Jesus, the King of Kings, the Lord of Lord.

Focus on that before you leave today.

Focus on what you need to war on before you go out there and profess that Jesus is your King of Kings and your Lord of Lords.

Focus on what you need to lay down before you blow the shofar, blow the trumpet and the return of the king.

Don't try to bring in your junk to his kingdom.

'Cause he's already told you how to get rid of it.

Confess your sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanses of all unrighteousness.

It's not even a 12 step program.

Jesus wants to set you free.

Jesus wants to war with you.

Jesus wants you to come into the assembly, not carrying that anymore.

So you can shout and tell everybody that you've been set free.

Some of you all know me way back.

Some of you all know me way back.

I'm different.

You know what I changed?

I should market this.

You know what I change?

I stopped trying to get a war for myself.

And I started just laying it at the feet of Jesus and said, "Jesus, hey, I'm a real intellectual donkey.

Hey, Jesus, I'm a real intellectual donkey.

I can't solve that problem.

Every time somebody makes a comment, I want to be a smart donkey.

I can't fix it.

It's yours.

Take it from me.

Battles.

I don't ever try to find them anymore.

I lay at his feet.

You want to be set free?

You want to get to Trumpets without having the freedom of Passover?

Freedom comes through Jesus.

Freedom comes through the spirit of Jesus.

Not the spirit of Chris, not the spirit of any man or woman.

And today, as we sing, as we respond, all creatures of our God and King, man, what a song.

We're all creatures of King Jesus.

lift our voices and sing to him and lay down anything that's not of him.

(gentle music)
