Yet we see that legalism had crept into many celebrations of the Sabbath and how people honored it. Jesus continuously the Sabbath as a blessing of life, a day to pause from your job, and spend time with Him. Sabbath through the lens of Jesus is a day of rejoicing, fellowship, worship, peace and joy. If you find yourself always worried or stressed out, look for Jesus in the Sabbath.

FAQ
Is the Sabbath Saturday or Sunday?
Biblically, the Sabbath is the seventh day— which to us is Saturday.
Why do most churches meet on Sunday?
This developed later in church history when the division between the Jews and early followers got more hostile. Prior to A.D. 363-364 there were many controversies on when to celebrate the Sabbath. In 321 AD Constantine made a decree that was civil law for rest yet not a theological directive. It was in the 4th century that it became more popular to celebrate the Sabbath on the Lord’s Day.
Why does HFF meet on Saturday?
HFF honors the Biblical and historical Sabbath. There are denominations and “roots” based movements that also honor this Sabbath. HFF takes a posture of loving the Sabbath while not condemning other Christians for celebrating on Sunday. HFF also does not align theological directives to the Sabbath like many in those denominations or “roots” based movements. The Sabbath is a joy whether celebrated on Saturday or Sunday and isn’t to be used as a weapon of division with other Christians.
