Church Facility Update

Church Family,

Family,

So much has happened over the last couple of weeks.  Thank you to all who have continued to donate to the building fund.  We have gone over $167,000 to date.

So far in the last couple of weeks, we have:

  • Removed damaged drywall from previous paneling

  • Added support studs to bathroom to secure partitions

  • Sanded down the partitions to paint

  • Removed tile from the bathrooms

  • Replaced the non-working exhaust fans in the bathrooms

  • Ordered the new tankless water heaters

  • Started to fix termite damaged studs

  • And pulled almost all the old networking cables from the building

  • Securing studs in the stage wall that weren’t properly secured

  • Finished mounting center camera in new building

  • Removed original propane line from exterior wall

We continue to meet with HVAC companies to get quotes and once we have a company hired, we will start the permitting process with the city of OKC.  That will allow us to work on the electrical and HVAC properly.  Once we pass inspection, we can begin to put the drywall back up and get ready to paint.

While we wait for the companies and permits, we will add studs to the back room to allow us to mount the televisions for production as well as run a large PVC pipe through the wall for future cable management and runs.  We have ordered the new sinks for the bathrooms to replace the broken ones, and the new faucets to replace the old ones.

We also were blessed by a company who modeled our new sanctuary for proper sound.  We will begin to hang permanent speakers in the next couple of weeks to allow us to remove the temporary ones just in time for youth camp.

If you haven’t had time to venture to the back of the property, the basketball hoop and four square are done.  Some of the kids have already taken advantage of it after services.  We have basketballs and four-square balls available for after service.

We also have an elders meeting this week to discuss the possibility of another church using the space on Sundays.  We are in the final stages of negotiations, and it would be such a blessing to have them using our facility.

We are also talking about adding a Full Family Bible study midweek in the fall.  While the details aren’t finalized, we are looking at something that would work for all ages and allow us to add another study time together soon!

We have $65,000 left available for our building renovation currently and we believe that will be all spent with HVAC, Paint, and Finish work.  We will then have an estimated $35,000 still needed to get us completely moved into the old building and be service ready.  That includes carpet tiles, fixing the concrete floor, décor, and some equipment that we currently don’t own.

Thank you so much for all you have already given, not only financially but your time, prayers, and the use of equipment we would have had to rent.  We are almost to our goal of $200,000.  To think of what we have accomplished in such a short time and for the amount of money we have spent it is just an amazing testimony to how great our God is, and how amazing of a family you guys are!

Would you prayerfully go before the Lord and ask him how you could help us meet that $32,000 that is left?  Whether it be a monetary gift, sharing with friends and family, sharing on social media, and continuing to pray for the needed provision to complete the facility.

My family and I are in awe of just how much God has done through you all to date and we know He has a plan for the rest!

Visit: hff.house to stay up to date on the building project and to give.

With Gratitude,

Pastor Chris
